RE: RingLink Questions

Nope, don't have Netscape...  All the scripting buttons are "Enabled".

I agree - other pages work. so that must not be the problem.

I put a test ring on Gunnar's server - 141618

I think you do it like this (MSIE 5)

Tools > Internet Options > Security Tab > Custom Level >  Scroll to Scripting and choose Enable

Here's some help page I found:  http://www.telview.com/html/iejavascript.htm

If it's just one page, then I don't think this is the problem. . .I had the problem in Netscape and the only button that worked was "Home"  all the others did nothing -- on every page.

Are you setting up your ring on Gunnar's server?  What's the ring?

You shouldn't have any install problems if this is the case. . .I'm back to guessing it's you browser : )

Do you have Netscape too?  Have you tried that?

Can you tell me exactly which settings need to be enabled?  That might be the problem - I did the original editing on another computer, w/ a different version of IE.

I have Java permissions - options are Custom, Disable, High safety, Low safety, Medium safety

I have Scripting of Java applets - enabled

Other pages will save - but not this one...

Thanks,

Pam

do you have JavaScript enabled?  It has to be enabled to use the management. . .

(Please let me know if this is what's up -- I had this happen to me -- will mention this in the FAQ)

Thanks,
Rachelle

That does help.

Now - why can't I save my edits on the Ring Customization - HTML code page?  I was able to do it earlier today, but not now - none of the buttons work...

I cleared my cache, and restarted my 'puter, and it still won't work.

If someone is willing, and needs my ring ID and pw - just email me for them  pamster@bigfoot.com

Thanks

Pam

I can help on some of this;

1) I *think* the largest ring is 180 and working well. . .but I will defer to that RM. . .

2)  $::wmemail is Webmaster's email, but that means the webmaster who is joining the ring -- so webmaster = ringmember . . .

3) v 1.03 includes Previous

Hope that helps!

Subject: [ringlinklist] RingLink Questions

Just a couple of questions - and I'm really sorry if they've been asked/answered umpteen million times.

What's the largest ring that's currently using RingLink?  I have a ring with 200 sites to move - and I'm interested in hearing if there are rings of about that size - and how they're doing.

Next question - the FAQ says that the variable $::wmemal is the member's email - but Gunner's  page says that it's the webmasters email.

And I recall some earlier messages that there was no Previous link - is that true?
