trying to download

I am having no success with downloading the rinklink.
I'm on a MS Windows 95, version 4; with 64MB ram. The program at 
ringlink_1_03_tar.Z from ftp.gunnar.cc downloads within a matter of
moments as a winzip file.  Then, when I doubleclick on the little icon, the 
winzip program opens automatically.  It throws up a
prompt screen which says :
Please enter the full name of the file contained within the archive 
ringlink_1_03_tar.Z.  For example, if the contents is a DOC
file, a recommended filename is ringlink_1_03_tar.DOC
Because I have no idea what the contents is, I just press the OK button.
It shows in a window for the winzip program the ringlink program as one file, 
but doesn't seem to know what the program/files are
either. It puts ? for the 'size' and 'ratio' and nothing I do seems to work.
Can some give any suggestions?
or is there a server to make use of the code, with the homepages for the 
webring/s on my own server/s???
