FWIW, Webring has always given the option to randomize.  Even better is
(was?) the option to stagger, basically almost random, but in the
high-ring-activity, low-ring-activity, high-ring-activity, low...  That way
sites that don't advertise much benefit from sites that advertise a lot.
(Guess this would be alternating traffic size now.)
Unfortunately, I'm still in stasis, so I can't get to the new manual
reordering thing.  Sounds nice tho.
