Also, at least here in Atlanta, you can call BellSouth (the local telco)
and get a phantom phone line hooked up that connects only to voicemail,
and only has a billing address. It costs 12.95 a month. I know some pager
places also do this too, probably for cheaper.
When I moved here I got my phone number listed in my ex-boyfriend's name,
in the same way that the other guy was talking about. It worked like a
charm, except my number was the recycled phone number for a bailbondsman.
