Gunnar, aren't you missing the beauty of an open source program?  You don't
have to do all this stuff yourself.  Just ask for volunteers that know perl and
assign them something to work on!  :)  (I'll volunteer just as soon as I learn
it.. shouldn't be too hard as I already know a few programming languages.)
