Subject: [ringlinklist] ringlink under NT File access can be controlled by group permissions, directory permissions and individual file permissions. Can be as strict or not as you wish. Although NT permissions are not "chmod" permissions, they can and do equal the same. The item you would have a problem with is "password". You would normally password a "share"(hard drive) and then use permissions for the rest within the "share". Your Ringlink would be using a portion of a "share" that other Host users would be trying to use. That would not be acceptable for the Host.
