Ahhhhhh. . . My error. Originaly I did not install the mail support files. When I narrowed the error down to the mail routines I DID copy the files up to the 'lib' folder. . . However, by then I was frustrated enough that I forgot that they were supposed to be in in a sub-sub folder called lib/Mail. NOW it all makes sense. That still doesn't fix the weirdness in the responses in the checker. Currently my rings sites all have NEW jsNAVBARs (of my own design) OR old Webring.org HTML fragments. The mystery is that the checker accepts many of both as well as rejecting many of both. However, it does so consistantly. On the subject of the jsNAVBARs. My members seem to like them. I have had only one compliant and that was due to some weirdness on a free MSN site that built the entire site as Javascript document.write statements. Since you can't nest Javascript source code this didn't work and created a page load error. Otherwise, like the Yahoo SSNB, it is easy to install and hard to screw up. It seems most of the member resistance to Yrings is the YID, not the SSNB. I've had a least two other ringmasters setup the system and they seem to be happy with it too. Its not a system for everyone but it works well for those that use it. Jock D.
