Anyway, I'll consider it. Maybe, but I still think it's a good idea. One of my favorite programs is Gossamer-Threads' Links 2.0. However, the verify routine has no option to check the database in chunks -- it's either all or nothing. Therefore, 50% of Links users seem to report that it doesn't work for them - for me, it takes 5-10 minutes to get to Link 200 of 1400 and then it times out (actually just stops, either via telnet or the browser...) It does work on some servers, not on others, but no one seems to be able to narrow down specifically what is causing it to fail. I suppose my point is simply that adding an option to process the verification in ranges will help insure that it works on a greater variety of web servers and with varying numbers of sites... I'm not really qualified to make comments on this since I'm waiting to upgrade my Ringlink installation until stats are added, but since I've spent days trying to get the Links checker to work, I wanted to add my 1 1/2 cents...
