Gordon,
It sounds like you haven't setup the expeceted directory structure.  The
paths in the error meassage do not look right.  I did a similar thing with
the new version of ringlink when I upgraded.  The old system had
cgi-bin/lib and now there is a second directory for the mail system.  Those
folders need to be setup and the files copied even if you don't use the
mail system.
