Question is, what would have caused these files to be 'deleted' ?

I have no idea. We are almost talking about a complete removal of the
ring, aren't we? One can ask if somebody has got access to the ring or
admin password and removed it that way. But I think it's (almost :)
impossible, because in that case all the sites directories should have
been removed as well.

Maybe you should bring it up with your provider.

P.S. Just a few days ago I experienced exactly the same thing for
one of the rings I host at my site.

I just had the same problem, ( while deleting a site from the query) ( the ring's files disappeared), all the txt and db files were deleted from my ring's directory.  Only these files were gone, all the directory names and their contents were there.  I even had another file in that directory, ( index.html ) and it was intact.

This is not the first time this has happened.  The last time I had to completely rebuild the ring's files by hand.  I've been making backup copys since, but not everyday.  mumble mumble mumble, to myself !!!  I should have learned the last time !!

Is there a problem in the program ?  I'm the only one with the keys and my site log says the no other access has been done, other than mine.

The server said that there must be something in the program that is causing this to happen, but they don't know what, not knowing how the program operates.

I asked my server to reload the txt and db files, but this is beginning to be a pain.  Could this be because I'm deleting more that one site, during a session ?

I'm still using version - 1.03, I didn't want to update to the new version until all the bugs were out of it.

I'll be watching for you response, thanks

Respectively Yours,
