If you want to change the default output for the whole Ringlink installation, please follow the advise by SandridgeFarm@aol.com. But if it isn't necessary, you should avoid to edit the gentools.pm file, since such modifications will make future upgrades more difficult. If you intend to run only one ring, there is a simplier way: When you have added the ring, go to "Customize - Appearance" in "Ring admin". From there you can change both the body and background colors for the ring. Please note that you can use background images, if you want to.
