Aha! smart of them to eventually figure this out James, definitely an *exciting* new development. There was no announcement of the change was there? I thought that they would never do it. This went from being an item on my wish list to my pet peeve, years ago. It was the first evidence that Webring had become both incompetent and intransigent. I guess they figure that if Gunnar can do it, and show them how, they're left with no excuse. Default Webring fragments never accommodated the inclusion of the siteid in the list URL. I frequently tested including the siteid anyway, but the list always started at the_beginning_of_the_ring (it exasperates me to even write those words). I used the 'next5' URL in my 'list' link for this reason. Starting at the next site is a big improvement. The difference may be arbitrary, but I must say that I prefer the list to start at the current site, as it does with Ringlink. The world wide web so often leaves one feeling lost without a compass. A familiar landmark, like the site you just left, at the top of the list, confirms that you are surfing a ring systematically, it's reassuring. If I use 'next5', I invariably click 'prev5' next, just to make sure that I am where I think I am in the ring. That may sound silly...I wonder if others do the same? Yours, Dave
