I assume that by "templates" the submitter means mainhtml.pm, mailhtml.pm and admhtml.pm. The intention is that those files normally shall remain unchanged when new versions of Ringlink are released.
Ringlink 2.0 includes extensive changes compared to v1.2, and this time it was necessary to change the template files. Actually there will be a couple of minor changes in those files in the next release as well.
I don't understand how the template files could be "moved away" from the rest of the script. After all, they include a number of variables whose values are generated by the program.
