The new WebRing system is a big improvement over the Yahoo! Version, since you can now edit member's info and...., but compared to Ringlink it all appears rather sloppy and confusing at best. Sure it is early days, but the practice of releasing a new version of anything before all the bugs have been eliminated is no longer tolerated by most RingMasters/WebMasters...... The default navbar HTML code is anything but xhtml compliant and is a disaster if used on a web site using style sheets. Needless to say they do not offer translation or any other remarkably innovative new features?? Hopefully they will try to clean up the mess that was the WebRing Directory, but I think it would be a bad idea to jump into bed with them as far as the Ringlink WEb Ring Directory is concerned. :( Pete H |
