Now that we have this list, perhaps a round of self-introductions is in order. I have been sending a more-or-less-daily quotation to my mailing list, the thought for today, for about 7-1/2 years. This started as a way to get people interested in using the new email system at work, and migrated to the internet. When I migrated to the internet, I added an archive, using the then-cutting-edge technology, Gopher--anyone remember that? Now the archive is maintained on a website: http://webpages.ainet.com/gosner/quotationsarch Besides archiving the thought for today mailings, I also have a collection of topical sets of quotations, over 200 topics, at the site. A question posed here recently was in regard to sources of quotations. I have listed my favorite print resources on the web site, including clickable links to purchase them if desired, and also other e-resources--check it out. My other interests include my family (4 kids & 1 grandson), my work--I'm an urban planner--music (opera to folk), bicycling, the internet, reading, and hot air balloons. On that latter, check out our website at: http://webpages.ainet.com/gosner/syrinxballoon I'm looking forward to getting some new ideas, and new quotations, from this list. My best regards to all.
