Introduction

Seems like a good time for another 45 year old to speak up.
My name is Dawn and I live in Wichita, Kansas. I am a
telecommunications project manager, but currently not working at
it. I was with Pizza Hut for 11 years, until they moved their
corporate offices out of Wichita the end of December, and just
haven't gone back to work yet. I've been having a great time
with my 16 year old daughter, enjoying the time to really
practice again (I have a very unused degree in piano
performance), and trying to learn to play golf. In addition to
my own little quotations site, I also built and maintain the web
site for a sailing association I belong to.
I started my quotations site in January 1998 on AOL, then moved
it to Geocities, and am currently in the process of relocating
for the last time to my own domain. I came across this domain
server while looking for one for the sailing association, and it
was too good to pass up at $7.00/month, less if paid annually.
I've collected quotations for a long time, but in a very
unorderly fashion. They were written wherever it was handy at
the moment, so I put them in a Word document, and the web page
came about from there. I've just recently come across a group
of Celtic quotations that I adore, so will be adding them soon.
Incidently, I think Gunnar's idea of a mailing list is a
terrific one, and certainly don't feel there is any age
requirement on the appreciation of quotations! Some of the best
quotations come from hundreds of years ago, or maybe yesterday.

A man should hear a little music, read a little poetry,
and see a fine picture every day of his life, in order that
worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful
which God has implanted in the human soul. ~
Goethe
