I happen to love music . . . . I'll just put my intro here too . . . My
name's Hollie and I'm almost 20 {turning on the 29th of this month} and I
live in Southern California and I've lived here for almost 4 years.
Before this, I lived in Northern Cali and in Wretham, England, but I only
lived in England for 4 years {age 3-7}. I remember a little, but not a
lot. Right now I go to a local Community College and hope to transfer to
Cal. State Univ. Long Beach and major in Marine Biology. I hope to study
sharks.
As for quotes and other writing related stuff, I just recently got into
collecting quotes. I write poetry and I love collecting poetry from
published and unpublished poets. I collect quotes and poems on just
about every topic out there . . . my favorite time period in history is
the midevil and renaissance times, so any writing depicting that time
period I love.
The other thing besides sharks that I like to study is the old goddess
religion practiced by the pre-christian celtic society. I just find it
intriguing. I also spend a lot of time online Role Playing in chat
rooms, which would explain the style of my webpage. I originall created
it for the purpose of displaying my characters, but it now has a lot more
than that, but it's still a work in progress.
I play a few instruments. My favorite being the flute and my favorite
style to play are celtic and irish pieces. I have collected a few music
related quotes, but this was the first one I got:
"Without music, life is like a journey through a desert." ~Pat Conroy~
At the time that I had found that one, I had just switched high schools
into a school district which didn't have a music program, so i continued
playing on my own time and eventually picked it back up at the community
college that I'm at.
But I think I've babbled enough . . . *smiles* . . . . I don't want to
take up too much of your time.
~Hollie~
