I have three questions that have come up
recently on the alt.quotations newsgroup that have not been answered. I think
they may be of interest (and if any of you know the sources, it would be very
helpful.
1) what is the source of "Sleep well
tonight, for rough men are guarding the gate."
2) what is the source of "Fear not what men
do in the name of evil, but beware what they do in the name of good." This
was said by Paladin on "Have Gun, Will Travel." It has been suggested
that Arthur Adams is the source, but we cannot confirm.
3) would like to confirm that Heinz Guderian
actually said "A tank is an iron box containing courage." Guderian was
a WW2 German general credited with "inventing"
blitzkreig.
Regards,
Sam
