RE: Gnomologia website

I finally bought a copy of the Gnomologia book (1732 1st edition) because 
it seems it is one of the earliest English language collections of 
proverbs, sayings and quotations, along with John Ray's collection (which 
I've had a copy of for several years.)  Anyone know of other early books in 
English?
