Hume Quote

Hello,
     Can anybody help me locate the source of the quote "Truth springs from
argument amongst friends."  I could not locate it in the standard quotation
references (Bartlett's, etc.).  I have found it on several webpages, always
with the attribution of the philosopher David Hume, but there were never any
citations.  Any help with this is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
